This video is made by me, SAM, n my very dear friend, JASSI. We made it as our entry to National Institute of Technology (NIST) hosted national level symposium, Sankalp.
This entry bagged us the first prize. For those who couldn't understand what the video is all about, please refer below. For you we call it the Instruction Manual.
Video starts off with a barren land, demonstrating the atrocious n cruel nature of mother Earth. The hidden meaning of it shows that many a times in our life we face various difficulties which lead us to think of the worse. We become impatient loose our control and even think I shouldn't be alive or maybe Why am I here.
Moving along the video, we have a small room with only a sole table lamp, bright enough to show the outlines of the room. This was developed just to show connect the stories but eventually it made a story in itself. However tough the situation maybe, a small ray of hope, a small power of will is enough to overcome the hurdle. This point was also highlighted in the poster which eventually showed a simulated part of the solar system, where life is only available on earth.
Back to room, the camera zooms through a telescope, once more showing our simulated solar system but greater detail on the powerful solar radiations. Again indicating how safe we are on earth, this is where we bring back our story back to the track ask again, Why we are on earth, its so cruel.
A distant explosion somewhere in deep-space tries to explain the question. A small chunk of matter forming itself as a devastating meteor, colliding with an unknown planet, and burning the whole that could have ever existed there. This is quite scientific thing. As there is no atmosphere, the meteor hits the planet but in case of earth, the meteor would rather burn up in mid-air thus making the damage comparative less. Also, we have the asteroid belt that shield the inner solar system.
Further on, there's a beautiful field full of flowers and very lively. On careful observation this is the same land that we saw in the beginning of the video. Earth is dynamic, seasons change and life begins to flourish.
Its just like our lives, its not always the bed of roses. There are tougher times which make us feel weak and lost but small will, a zeal to succeed brings back life on track and things change. The days pass as a rough patch on the road and we move on, on a smoother drive.
